China has recently opened the world's longest glass bottomed bridge at the end of 2017 in Hebei province Hongyagu Scenic Area.
This bridge has a 488 meter span and hovers above a vertical drop of 218 meters. It is made of 1077 glass panels that are four centimeter thick, and the bridge can take up to 2000 people, but only 5 to 6 hundreds will be allowed to walk on it at one time. Visitors must wear special provided shoe gloves to protect the glass surface.
